A Short Story From Larry Allen:
It was a cold night in Kalispell, Montana. It was December, 1983. We were descending into Kalispell going through about 15,000 feet Steve told me to call the Cascade Ramp and ask them to start the crew car so it would be nice and warm for us. I did and after an uneventful arrival in our sleek Metroliner we buttoned her up and headed for the crew car. She was running and nice and warm. Only problem was this was the wrong car. Two cars were running, the same make, model and color. Damn, if we didn't take the wrong one! We got in and headed for the Outlaw Hotel in downtown Kalispell. We checked in and agreed to meet in half an hour for dinner. Well in about 20 minutes my phone rings. It was the ramp telling us we had taken the wrong car! The gentleman who owned the car showed up in the crew car and after a heartfelt apology we swapped vehicles and he was on his way. We both had a good laugh and after that night we were known as the auto thieves at Cascade Airways!
