Ron Stotz
Ron's page
The Photo's and Video's below are Courtesy of Ron Stotz.  Ron has numerous contacts around the world and receives all sorts of aviation related photo's and video's almost weekly. Many of the photo's and video's are of a rather unique nature and contain subject matter you are not likely to see anywhere else.

Ron started out in aviation in South Dakota as a Flight Instructor and Charter Pilot during the winter months and crop spraying during the summers, following the agriculture season from Kansas to South Dakota.

As time progressed Ron moved into the Vice President of Operations position first for Star Airways then Trans Colorado Airlines, both operating Swearingen Metroliners in Commuter operations.

Moving on to Wings West Airlines (dba as American Eagle Airlines) in San Luis Obispo, California
first in flight operations as a Line Pilot, and then to Vice President of Operations and
Vice President of Maintenance, which help propelled him into a 10 year career with Fairchild.

He held the position of  President of Fairchild's after market division, Fairchild Aircraft Services, and was
responsible for the MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul), Merlin Express. This division of Fairchild was a
wet lease, cargo, passenger airline, and parts distribution program, which provided customer support and services
for the Fairchild Metro/Merlin products line worldwide.  He was also called upon to operate the Metro 23 on sales
demonstration flights throughout the United States, Canada and Alaska. Operating the Metro 23 on gravel and
dirt runways in Alaska's back country. This is quit remarkable given the Metro's difficult handling characteristics.

Prior to joining BAE Systems Victorville team, Ron was the General Manager of an executive jet charter
firm operating 6 Lear Jets and an FBO (Fixed Base Operation) operation based in Central California.

As a member of the BAE Systems senior management team responsible for the start-up of the Company's Victorville MRO unit, it was a natural fit for Ron to become President of Victorville Aerospace, the successor to BAE Systems Victorville MRO facility in late 2002. The MRO provides maintenance services for wide-body air carrier aircraft worldwide. He has lead the maintenance, repair and overhaul organization through the difficult startup phase and through the sale of the business.

Ron's aviation background of over 35 years in aviation and with over 25 years of
aviation management experience with a strong background in flight and
maintenance operations management, has allow him to be able to mix his love
of flying aircraft with managing various types of aviation business activities.

Even thought Ron was not associated with Cascade Airways the photo's and
Video's he receives enhance the content of this website and are presented
for your enjoyment.

Ron is now semi-retired and lives in California.
This gives going to the Beach a whole new meaning..
